Summertime and the Jazzing is easy!

Jazz enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond are attending the 10th International Jazz School at Cork Academy of Music this week.

Beginners and amateur musicians are being taught by Jazz Legends like the famous trombone player Mike Carton and renowned BBC vocalist Lee Gibson.  There has been huge demand for the school this year with 58 people participating.

The Course, which finishes today, is also delving into theoretical aspects of Jazz Music, which are being taught by Colin Byrne from Douglas, who lectures at Leeds University in England.

Organiser and Musical Director Bob Seward, is very pleased with how successful the week has been, and the International flavour it brought.  "I was very happy with the variety of participants.  We had people as far away as Germany and Canada.  It just goes to show how popular it is."
